This is a beautifully constructed and shockingly pretty late 1940s, early 1950s dress done in a brilliant and vivid pink color. The print is a washed bouquet of roses that blend romantically together over the vivid pink back drop. Bits of greenery add contrast and a pop of color. The skirt is backed with proper dressmakers paper so that the skirt has a bit of stiffening and holds its shape. I have styled it here over a light crinoline (not included) but it also stays full without one. The bodice is a stunner! The shoulders sit slightly off to create an almost portrait neckline and allow the collarbones to show. Clever pleating creates a front panel that curves down to the waist.
